Zombie Apocalypse?

Because it is the time of the year when ghosts and goblins appear, let's be in sync and pretend….

Oh, you might not have thought of it, but the kids certainly have.

On this weekend of All Saint’s day, why not let your imagination run wild?

Creativity promotes non-linear thinking. If you are about structures to boost efficiency and productivity, you would appreciate this fun exercise.

This weekend why not indulge in something fun for the family to enjoy. If you have a backyard you can pitch a tent and sleep outside while gazing at the moon and the stars.

You can talk about what an apocalypse might mean to them.

Apocalypse is the triumph of evil versus good. Maybe you can put that into context why the zombie is the picture of evil but in human form (though ugly hehehe)

Is it because he was supposed to be good but became evil, thus he morphed into someone ugly?

Those do not have kids can have a fun night with girlfriends or significant other

Just an indecent thought : why are there no tiny zombies?

Shouldn’t the naughty zombies do the deed n the hopes of pro - creating one?

Ok let’s keep this GP.

I know it might seem heavy, but perhaps it can be a springboard to :

• What they fear (if the zombie can be named, what you name it ?)

Is it the school bully?

Is it the dark, or other inanimate object?

For more adult discussions, could it be your limiting beliefs?

Your fear of Failure or lack of confidence

• What is important to them (what would you pack before going to the base camp?)

Where is the base camp anyway?

Aside from food and water, what would they bring in their bags

• Who their friends are (remember in an actual fight, we need to know who is on our side and who is against us) ⚒⚔

Time to spy on who the foes are

If something unique can kill a zombie what could it be ?

Maybe your partner’s dancing skills? ( my son actually said this )

Distracting singing voice (as I continue to sing)

What is important is to create a conversation that is light but gives insight to what the kids think

Another fun activity : get some old clothes, scissors, glue gun and glitter or play dough and create your own zombie costume.

This will definitely get them excited about using the glitter. Just tell them to shower outside the house too so there will be less mess and less clean up !

Often our structured brains prevent the seed of creativity from blossoming. Perhaps we are so caught up in the daily grind of how to get ahead in career or business we forget to think outside the box.

Maybe a night of creativity, fun and genuine family bonding can spark that flame anew.
