Very interesting results came up on the poll of last week

Indeed, we need both. The right ratio depends on team membersโ personalities and the complexity of the tasks. A style adapts to the need to get optimal results.
An article of the STU ( see reference here) suggests as follows โTask-oriented leadership is often contrasted against relations-oriented leadership. One emphasizes the tasks needed to achieve goals, and the other focuses on relationships required to keep employees satisfied with their work.
Students of leadership will find that the task-oriented style fits the definition of a manager, while the people-oriented style focuses on the characteristics of a leader.
According to the Center for Leadership Development, โThe managerโs job is to plan, organize, and coordinate.
The leaderโs job is to inspire and motivate.โ
According to another study, women tend to use the democratic style and men tend to use the task-oriented style.
