It all starts with you!
When I talk with my clients, a lot of them start to tell me:
"No, but it is not me that needs to change, it is the others"
"My husband/wife should do your program"
"I'm fed up with giving to my family, so I don't want to start questioning myself for them"
Guess what, that's exactly what I thought a few years ago.
I thought my husband needed to give me more support, I thought my family needed to be more focused on what we needed to build together.
I thought they made my life harder and if they changed, suddenly I could take a breather and everything would be better.
Then again, to tell you the truth……It all starts with you.
I know, it's not pleasant, still I made the journey, I started to transform my life, my vision of things, my communication, to invest my energy, time, money in my education and the miracle happened…The system and the dynamics of my family changed.
For my part, I changed my profession, my vision, my actions, my behaviour, my communication. The more I detached myself from their behaviour to focus on my own, to become the person I wanted to be, to create the life I wanted to create, the more their behaviours changed and were transformed. By taking responsibility for my own happiness, they gave me more room to create it. This is how I reclaimed my freedom.
Let’s be honest, how else would this go? We cannot depend on our children nor our partners to make the changes we want in our family simply because they have their own visions of how things should be and might not have the same capacity for change as we do.
What you should know, it is extremely rare that both spouses are ready at the same time to work on family life/couple issues. Couples rarely move forward with life development at the same speed. The other might be the burden today, you might be tomorrow.
What generally comes next is the second objection, which goes much deeper: “I am afraid that if I work on myself and on my life, then my family will break up.” This I can understand all too well.
If this is the thought you are having, there are 3 questions I would like to ask:
If you keep playing putting your head in the sand and playing the ostrich, trying not to see the problems, what or who are you sacrificing?
If you decide to take the risk to evolve and to create your vision of life, to put yourself on the path towards who you are, what can this message bring to you, for your children and your philosophy of life?
What if the magic happens exactly as it happened to me, and your personal growth transforms your family into a harmonious family and your life becomes a joyful life?
I am restarting a group at the end of August to regain freedom, purpose, energy while working on the harmony of your family.
If you are the type of person who wants more freedom, more meaning, more confidence, more balance in your life and more connection to you and your family, book a call to see if you fit. I will be pleased to discuss this with you.
I wish you a great day at home and at work, with lots of fun and energy.
Christelle
