I am certain you have heard a number of variations to this :

🤦🤦‍ Advice to your 22 year old self

🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Things I wish I knew when I was in my twenties

One thing is certain hindsight is always 20/20 meaning it is always easier to evaluate things after the fact rather than when are in the middle of the situation and desperately thinking of a solution.

Well, most of us are beyond 22 so we have plenty to share in the conversation but my question is meant not just to remind us of the past but to see what lessons we could learn to build on our future. This article is to help you remember who you were before and assess where you want to go.

I admin the where you want to go part is a little tricky and might need you to sit in a quite place to truly think.

But I believe the exercise although a little hard can be truly helpful in the long run.

People are wired for connection and somehow all our experiences are related because we live in the same society; we learn from each other as well. As such, it makes sense to listen to what others have gone through.

My personal experience is different from your journey but you can cherry pick significant takeaways to spare you from heart ache and pain.

I want to spare you from that. I want you to direct your time, energy, and resources to things that matter.🙌🎯

This would have been my message : You are going to achieve crazy things in your life, but Don't waste your time working hard on the wrong things. Define now what matters to you and put the same energy ( or even more) into it. You will see, your life is going to be much more fun, successful, and energizing." 🏆

This post in LinkedIn went viral. I received several comments. People clearly had something to share as I know you would have too given the chance.

So this is your opportunity to weight in message me back with your realization and perhaps in the process you might discover your next steps in life.

Here are some comments that I think will tug your hearts and memories:
